Audio programmes available for 2023/24
Southampton Football Club is once again producing audio versions of its matchday programmes this season, to make them accessible to a greater number of supporters.
The spoken editions, which will be available for both our men’s and women’s programmes, will particularly assist blind or partially-sighted fans who may have difficulties reading the traditional, physical publications.
Produced by specially-trained audio description readers, they will be available via major podcast apps on the day of each game and will guide listeners through a host of content, including pre-match notes from the manager, player interviews and much more.
The first edition, for this afternoon’s Championship match against Norwich, is now available to download.
The free-of-charge service adds to the club’s range of audio description offerings and is produced in conjunction with our colleagues at Alan March Sport, who also provide a live commentary service for first-team matches at St Mary’s.
We are also on the lookout for more people to join their speciality in-stadium commentary services, and you can find out more information about how to apply to become a commentator here.
