Southampton's Ché Adams played just shy of an hour as Scotland were defeated 3-1 by visiting England at Hampden Park on Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old started the match-up which marked the 150th anniversary of the oldest fixture in international history.

England stormed into a two-goal lead around the half-hour mark; Phil Foden in the right place to turn in Kyle Walker's low ball before a mistake from Scotland's Andy Robertson set up Jude Bellingham on 35 minutes.

The hosts thought they had a route back into the game when Harry Maguire turned into his own net on 67 minutes, only for Harry Kane to make sure of the result nine minutes from time.

Fellow Scottish Saint Stuart Armstrong featured off the bench in the 82nd minute, replacing Kieran Tierney.
